Rental Policies & General Information
All models have hot water, shower, sink, cook stove, gas refrigerator, toilet, hitch**, generator and a furnace. They sleep 6 to 10 people depending on the model. They seat 9 to 13 persons. Many models also have an awning and microwave. They have Vortec V8 engines or Ford Triton V-10 engines. They have power steering, power brakes and automatic transmission. They get 7 to 12 MPG. They are made by Forest River and are Sun Seeker models. Extra tough and easy to operate. The rental charge is based on 24 hour days, from the time you leave. Holiday weekends are a 3 or 4 day minimum rental.

3 day rentals from May 24 through September 7 are not booked more than 30 days in advance. Generator use: 2 hours per day is included. Thereafter $2 extra per hour. Everything works except the air and microwave, without using the generator. ** Hitch use: Tow at your own risk. An extra $50 charge is made. Ball and shank are included. Otherwise the hitch is locked.


OUR POLICY "short term" Rentals: We book short rentals three (3) weeks before the departure date. Three weeks before you leave we will try and schedule your short rental between the weekly reservations which are already booked. We book 5 day or longer rentals months in advance, a reservation deposit is required.

DEPARTURE TIME: From May thru September our rentals start at 1pm to 4pm Friday, and end at the same time the following Friday. In some cases it is possible to pick the unit up earlier, or to keep it later, depending on when the prior renter returns it.

RENTAL PERIOD: 5 to 14 days. Shorter rentals can be booked 3 weeks before the departure date.

YOUR AUTO INSURANCE is your primary coverage for PL, PD and Comprehensive protection. We require proof of insurance. On motor home rentals a 300/100/50 limit is required. Have your insurer fax a "proof of coverage" to 614-471-5957. If your insurance company will not adequately cover the rental, you can get insurance for $15 per day, with a $500 deductible. Contact the MBA Insurance Co. at 1-800-622-2201 or online at www.mbachoice.com. Ask for series 1 insurance. They will accept your credit card number to pay for their insurance.

DEPOSITS:The reservation and damage deposit is $500*. The deposit refund is mailed within a week after you return. We take all major credit cards, or Travelers Checks. If you pay cash, the deposit is $1,000 and you must meet strict identification requirements. If you cancel the reservation 60 days before departure, the deposit is refunded, with a $100 charge. If 30 days before departure, a $150 service charge is made. From 15 to 30 days, we charge $200. If 14 days or less, no refund unless we can book the unit for another rental. If we can, a $250 service charge.

EXCESS MILEAGE: We permit an average of 300 miles of travel per day of rental, the first 100 which are free. The additional mileage is $.333 per mile. If your total mileage exceeds the average of 300 miles per day, a $.50 per mile surcharge is made for the excess mileage. High mileage is the primary reason for low resale value and high maintenance on our rentals, and is why we must charge this.

GASOLINE: The fuel level is checked when you leave. YOU fill it to the same point when returning. Otherwise, we do, and deduct the cost of fuel from your deposit. IF the motor home requires oil or maintenance during the trip, you are reimbursed for expenses up to $150. Bring back receipts. Repair or expenses over $100 require prior approval. PREPAID CLEANING: We expect the camper to be clean & tanks dumped when returned. Otherwise we charge $50 or morecleanup. Prearranged cleaning and dumping is $99.

IMPORTANT NOTE: CHECK THE OIL on the engine and generator. If you return the camper with oil levels below the "add" mark, $50 or more will be kept from the deposit. NO oil on the dipstick: NO refund. We expect the camper to be clean and the tanks dumped when returned. Otherwise we charge $50 or more for cleanup. Prearranged cleanup and dumping is $99.

AWNING WARNING: If your unit is equipped with a patio awning, roll it up before rain storms. Otherwise water can pool up and damage the awning. You are responsible for awning damage, or any damage, which occurs while you are renting the camper.

BREAKDOWNS: In the event of chassis problems, phone ahead for the nearest Chevrolet or Ford dealer and take it there. You will be reimbursed for repairs, and a refund to cover the hours needed for repairs. We do not pay for additional expenses. By your signature on the contract you agree to these conditions. RV SUPPLIES & APPLIANCES: If a hookup item breaks or is missing, pick one up at a camping store. For appliance service, contact any large RV Dealer. Expenses over $100 must be approved by Posts Traveland. If you pay out money: GET A RECEIPT & we will reimburse you.
